VUE SETUP COMPLETE

๐ŸŽ‰ Vue.js Frontend Setup - Complete!

The MCP Task Tracker now has a modern Vue.js 3 frontend with a powerful development environment.

โœ… What Was Done

1. Complete Vue.js Application Structure

  • Framework: Vue 3 with Composition API
  • Build Tool: Vite 5 for lightning-fast HMR
  • State Management: Pinia stores (projects, agents, tasks)
  • Routing: Vue Router 4 with 5 routes
  • HTTP Client: Axios with interceptors
  • Real-time: WebSocket composable with auto-reconnect

2. Application Components

Views Created:

  1. Dashboard.vue - Overview with stats and recent items
  2. Projects.vue - Project list with create modal
  3. ProjectDetail.vue - Detailed project view with tabs
  4. Agents.vue - Agent management with filtering
  5. Tasks.vue - Task list with status/priority filters

Services:

  • api.js - Centralized HTTP client with error handling
  • useWebSocket.js - WebSocket connection manager

Stores:

  • projectStore - Project CRUD and filtering
  • agentStore - Agent management and status
  • taskStore - Task operations and filters

3. Design System

  • Modern CSS with custom properties (variables)
  • Responsive design (mobile-first)
  • Clean card-based layout
  • Consistent color scheme and typography
  • Touch-friendly UI elements

4. Development Tools

  • scripts/setup-vue.ps1 - Automated setup script
  • Dockerfile.vue - Multi-stage Docker build
  • vite.config.js - Optimized dev server with proxies
  • Hot Module Replacement (HMR) for instant updates

5. Backend Integration

  • Updated Go server to serve Vue.js SPA
  • Added spaHandler for client-side routing
  • Backward compatible with old static files
  • Production-ready Docker build

๐Ÿš€ Current Status

Running Services:

โœ… PostgreSQL - Port 5433 (healthy) โœ… Go Backend - Port 8080 (API + WebSocket) โœ… Vue.js Dev Server - Port 3000 (with HMR) โœ… Simple Browser - Opened at http://localhost:3000

๐Ÿ› Troubleshooting

Port Already in Use

If port 3000 is occupied:

# Stop the process
Stop-Process -Id (Get-NetTCPConnection -LocalPort 3000).OwningProcess -Force

# Or change port in vite.config.js

Backend Not Responding

# Restart backend
docker-compose restart mcp-server

# Check logs
docker-compose logs -f mcp-server

Dependencies Out of Date
